Description

Compact, lightweight 1,000 GPD reverse osmosis system with all top of the line features included. The PS-850X commercial RO system is fully automatic and has a 50% standard recovery rate – this system beats the competition on features, recovery rate, and price!

The PS-850X 1,000 GPD reverse osmosis system delivers superior quality and cost savings. This commercial reverse osmosis system is low maintenance, highly productive, environmentally friendly, and fully automatic operation. It features a compact, lightweight design with a daily production range of 850 – 1,000 gallons per day of pure, healthy water. It’s the ideal system for craft beer breweries, distilleries, restaurants, coffee shops, drinking water, ice machines, food processing, laboratories, pharmaceutical, bottled water and beverage production, water for steam generators, electronics, spot-free rinse, aquariums, and other applications.

The Premiere PS-850X has a recirculation valve – many RO systems do not have this revolutionary feature. The recirculation valve is a water-saving feature that recycles the waste water back through the system to purify as much water as possible. The recirculation valve makes this system one of the most environmentally friendly RO systems on the market.

This commercial RO system is superior to the Flexeon AT-1000 / AXEON 1000 reverse osmosis system or Hydrologic Evolution RO 1000 because the PS-850X has a 50% standard recovery rate and 1:1 production ratio. This is highly efficient for a commercial reverse osmosis system. Plus, since the PS-850X has built-in recycle feature, it’s possible to recirculate the drain water through the process again. The Flexeon AT-1000 only has a 41% standard recovery rate so the competition just isn’t as efficient as the PS-850X.

The PS-850X is fully automatic for optimum performance. Other commercial RO systems such as the Flexeon AT-1000S (standard model) are manual, or it’s an expensive upgrade to receive to a computer controller (AT-1000 advanced and premier models) which doesn’t even have as many features as the PS-850X.

Taking up significantly less space than traditional commercial reverse osmosis systems, the PS-850X matches the 1,000 gallon output of these much larger, conventional systems.

Features

  • Designed to treat 850 – 1,000 gallons per day
  • 50% standard recovery rate, plus a proprietary waste and recirculation valve recirculates the waste water back through the purification process. With a production ratio of 1:1 (1 gallon of waste water per 1 gallon of RO water produced) that’s virtually the most efficient a commercial reverse osmosis can be. The PS-850X beats the competition on standard recovery rate, making it a much more environmentally friendly option for commercial reverse osmosis!
  • 316 stainless steel needle valve for waste and recirculation
  • Fully automatic for optimum performance
  • Integrated, digital Aquatrol EC-100 controller featuring low pressure switch, contactor, level switch, manual-automatic selector switch, and TDS sensor to monitor water quality product
  • Start timer delay – a 10 second delay helps detect problems with valve or voltage spikes to protect your system
  • Innovative technology which lets you easily flush (clean) the membrane whenever it gets full of contaminants
  • Four stage water purification system with a 5 micron sediment pre-filter, 5 micron carbon block pre-filter, Hydron membrane, and 5 micron carbon block post-filter
  • Hydron membrane is low pressure, high performance with 98% rejection
  • 304 stainless steel membrane housing is strong, durable, and corrosion resistant
  • Three 10″ filter housings (white) with 1/2″ connections contain: (1) 2.5″ x 10″ 5 micron polyspun sediment pre-filter, (1) 2.5″ x 10″ carbon block pre-filter, (1) 2.5″ x 10″ carbon block post-filter
  • Two pressure gauges – 100 and 300 PSI glycerin-filled pressure gauges
  • Brass rotary vane pump coupled to 1725 RPM motor
  • Brass NC solenoid valve is 120V with a 3/8″ connection
  • Panel-mount flow meter with a 0.1-1 GPM range
  • Pre-plumbed, wired and assembled on electrostatic powder coated frame
  • High quality components and accessories
  • Excellent cost to benefit ratio
  • Optional 82 gallon storage tank available (select this option from the model options)
  • 1 year warranty
  • Optional: If you are on city / municipal water or another chlorinated water source, we would recommend adding a BG-20C as a pre-filter before the PS-850X. The BG-20C has coconut shell carbon block cartridge to reduce and remove chlorine and other chemicals before they enter the PS-850X. This will prolong the filter life of the cartridges and membrane in the PS-850X and save money in the long run. It also has Siliphos ® scale control product which stops scale and corrosion from affecting the PS-850X. (Please note that the RO membrane in the PS-850X will remove the scale control product, but will protect the system from scale and corrosion up until that point). The cartridge in the BG-20C system has a filter life up to 80,000 gallons so it’s a long-life filter.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the standard recovery and recirculation recovery?

Standard recovery is the amount of water that is being recovered as good, pure water (also known as permeate). Another way to look at it is the amount of water that is not sent to drain as concentrate. The higher the standard recovery percent, the more permeate water is produced and the less water that is being sent to drain.

Recirculation recovery is the potential amount of permeate water that might be recovered after recirculating the concentrate water back through the process. If the recovery percent is too high for the RO design, it can lead to significant problems due to fouling and scaling of the membrane. The proper recirculation recovery percent an RO should operate at depends on the water quality.

The competition may boast a recirculation recovery rate of up to 75% but don’t be fooled by this “high” recovery rate. Recirculation recovery is based on the water quality, so unless you recirculate with near perfect concentrate water, you’re not going to have a 75% recovery rate. Plus, recirculating concentrate water back through the process has drawbacks; it puts more stress on the membrane and it is likely to clog significantly quicker.

So the key takeaway is that the standard recovery rate is the most important indicator of effectiveness – the recirculation recovery rate is virtually meaningless. It’s far better to produce a larger amount of RO water on the initial circulation (standard recovery) than needing to recirculate it to potentially achieve a higher efficiency which is at the cost of more stress on the membrane anyway. Essentially the higher the standard recovery rate, the better the system.

Special Notes

For us to process your purchase of the PS-850X, we do require a copy of a recent water quality report to ensure this system is suited for you water conditions and to determine if pre-treatment is required. We will be in touch after you purchase this item, or you can send the report to sales@premieresales.com.
