The Premiere BG-202BIV submicron water filtration system is one of the best point of entry / whole house water filters to remove viruses, bacteria, cysts, ultrafine particulates, and other biological hazards. The included submicron water filter cartridge has a pleated design which provides a high contaminant holding capacity and long filter life. The coconut shell carbon block filter is an excellent polishing filter for fine filtration and high capacity. It reduces unwanted tastes and odors, including chlorine taste and odor and other contaminants. It also has scale inhibitor to remove existing scale deposits, prevent scale, and stop corrosion. Stage 1: Submicron water filter cartridge (BG-20BIVRC)

• The absolute “charged” nanofiber filter has a high Zeta potential for effective removal of ultrafine contaminants

Stage 2: 5 micron carbon block water filter cartridge with scale inhibitor (BG-20CS)

• 5 micron premium coconut shell carbon block cartridge that removes taste/odor, chlorine, THMs (trihalomethanes), MTBE (methyl tertiary butyl ether), and VOCs (volatile organic chemicals)
• Siliphos ® scale inhibitor product prevents scale and stops corrosion. It works by forming a thin protective layer on the metal surface to inhibit the deposition of scale and corrosion
• Corrosion and scale inhibitor product protects your pipes, plumbing connections, and appliances that use water (such as a boiler, tankless water heater, washing machine, or dishwasher) which are susceptible to damage due to scaling
• Coconut shell carbon block filters have higher contaminant removal than a granular activated carbon filter (GAC filter) which means better tasting water too
