Description

Replacement Membrane for the PS-PURUF Ultrafiltration System and PS-PH200 Ultrafiltration + Alkaline System

This 0.02 micron replacement ultrafiltration membrane is easily installed in the Premiere PS-PURUF ultrafiltration system (previously called PS-UFPOU1) and Premiere PS-PH200 ultrafiltration + alkaline system. (Read more these drinking water systems below). The membrane is the module on top of the metal bracket of the system. This ultrafiltration membrane is the workhorse of the PS-PURUF and PS-PH200 system – it remove particulates and solids like bacteria, viruses, protozoa, and colloidal materials on a microscopic level. Easily backflush (clean) this membrane by turning the valve on your PS-PURUF or PS-PH200 system. Backflushing is good for this membrane – it helps prolong the life. Extra long membrane life up to 3 years. Maintains naturally occurring minerals for health and taste.

Features

  • 0.02 micron UF membrane – Filters out solids / particulates as small as 0.02 micron including: bacteria, protozoa, cysts, viruses, algae, dirt, mold, silt, colloidal silica, clay, iron, sand, lead particulate, and more.
  • Operates smoothly under low pressure – up to 1.5 gallon per minute flow rate depending on incoming water pressure
  • Zero waste water during the purification process. A conventional reverse osmosis system may waste 3 – 25 gallons of water to produce one gallon of reverse osmosis water. This membrane is revolutionary in that is does not waste water in the production of purified water.
  • Back flushing membrane ensures longer water membrane life. When a membrane undergoes a backward flush, its pores are flushed inside out to clean it of contaminants. Innovative technology lets you flush (clean) the membrane whenever it gets full of contaminants. You can tell when it’s time to flush the membrane because there will be a drop in water pressure. Simply turn the valve to flush the membrane (please note that a small amount of water will be discharged while the valve is open). Membrane should be replaced every 2-3 years.
  • Easy installation in the PS-PURUF or PS-PH200 system – Module membrane with an inlet and outlet (3/8″) and flush port (1/4″) that easily connects to your Premiere PS-PURUF or PS-PH200 system to replace the used one

Specifications

  • Flow rate: up to 1.5 gallons per minute (depends on your incoming water pressure)
  • Operating pressure: 35 psi – 85 psi

Frequently Asked Questions

When do I need to change my water filter membrane?

Membrane should be replaced every 2 – 3 years. Do not use this membrane for longer than 3 years.

Don’t forget to change the other filters in your PS-PURUF or PS-PH200 system once per year or every 2,000 gallons, whichever comes first.

Special Notes

Please note that this membrane is NOT recommended for water with a high TDS level (over 500 ppm) or if you wish to remove all TDS, or for use with water softeners that use sodium (salt).

Filtration Process

Mechanical - A physical barrier traps particles to remove them from water.

Adsorption - Traps particles and some dissolved contaminants through physical and chemical interactions.

Ultrafiltration - Removes ultrafine particles and bacteria.

Multi-stage - Multiple filter stages that target specific contaminants.

Reverse Osmosis - Removes all contaminants to produce pure water.

Alkaline - Increases alkalinity (pH) and antioxidant level.

Ultrafiltration
Type of Filter

Activated Carbon Block - Removes chlorine, organic compounds, and other contaminants from water.

Catalytic Carbon - Removes chloramines and some heavy metals; more effective chlorine and organic compound removal than activated carbon block filters.

Anti Scale - Prevents hard water scale and corrosion.

Sediment - Removes suspended particles such as sand, dirt, rust, and sediment from water.

Pleated - Removes bacteria, viruses, ultrafine particles, and other contaminants from water.

Granular Activated Carbon - Removes chlorine and some other contaminants; less effective particulate filtration compared to carbon block filters.
